BAANUENA FARMS

Baanuena Farms, currently situated in Samahu in the Western Region, embarked on organic farming in 2018 and was officially registered as a sole proprietorship in 2020. The company specializes in the production of organic vegetables and compost. Our location is at Samahu-Abekoase, off the Bogoso Road, near Toyota Ghana Tarkwa. The driving force behind the establishment of this business was the founder’s aspiration to contribute to the reduction of reliance on synthetic chemicals in agriculture. Our company’s mission is to promote organic agriculture nationwide and make quality food accessible through education, training, and leading by example. We primarily engage in vegetable production, including crops like cucumber, cabbage, okra, and bell pepper. Our target customers comprise market women and food vendors. All produce from Baanuena Farms is purely organic, and we prioritize the reuse of farm waste to create high-quality compost. Baanuena Farms has received recognition for its efforts, including being awarded the title of Best Irrigation Farmer in Prestea-Huni-Vally Municipal and obtaining a Green Label certificate. As part of our growth strategy, Baanuena Farms is actively working to expand its customer base in the medium to long term. To facilitate this expansion, we are seeking funding to support the growth of our compost plant, expand our existing farmland, acquire essential farm equipment, increase our workforce, and engage in marketing activities. These efforts will enable us to better serve our customers and promote organic agriculture on a broader scale.
